Should we let babies cry it out or not?

Babies cry for a reason folks and until you are truly plugged into your baby's personality and habits and go through your checklist of hunger, wet or soiled diapers, colic issues as gas builds, teething discomfort, are they in danger of blankets clothing or stuffed animals being too close or numerous, are they afraid in the dark, is it too quiet or too loud, fever or not, too warm or too cold, etc. that is the way we learn--- those cries are communication!!!
